Last weekend's camping trip!

So last week I flew out to Washington to go on a backpacking trip with some of my homies from Washington State University. We had some pretty heavy rain going in (9 miles)(which drenched my sleeping bag incidentally...*drat!*).

The second day was beautiful. It was a foggy, mist-laden morning but that burned off as noon passed. We went for a pack-less hike and had a great time firing Nate's .45. It was a clear night and we made a huge fire, BSing and jibba-jabbering until deep into the night. My water purifier broke down that day..but it's going to be a minor repair.

On our way out (9 miles) we got some more rain, and while we were all drenched in the outhouse waiting for our cars to come back we dreamt of hot-bows of Pho goodness.

That's the long and short of it. Lots of dehydrated foods and instant coffee. Wet, nasty, soggy, dirty clothes. And some excellent long hikes. By the end of it my feet had about as much as they wanted to take, and I was ready to head home and...hang out... with Liz.

Hey Trevino, Dan just gave me the URL for your site. It's been good getting to catch up with whats been going on. Brings back some good memories, especially the Icy hot stuntuz post. Was that a Sundance in the background, with the bling hubcaps? Hiking trip looked wet, but memorable, wish I could have made it. Stinks having to work weekends and miss out when the ol' wazzu gang gets together. I'm looking forward to seeing most everyone at Nate's wedding. Anyway, hope to catch up with you soon.
